Yahweh, Our Deliverer
If it had not been Yahweh who was on our side, let Israel now say, if it had not been Yahweh who was on our side, when men rose up against us; then they would have swallowed us up alive, when their wrath was kindled against us; then the waters would have overwhelmed us, the stream would have gone over our soul; then the proud waters would have gone over our soul.
Blessed be Yahweh, who has not given us as a prey to their teeth.
Our soul has escaped like a bird out of the fowler’s snare.
Sorrow in Exile
By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down.
Yes, we wept, when we remembered Zion.
On the willows in its midst, we hung up our harps.

My Strong Refuge
I love you, Yahweh, my strength.
Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.
I call on Yahweh, who is worthy to be praised; and I am saved from my enemies.
